“What will you do to hold health care corporations accountable for high costs?”

Answer:

“Insurance companies are draining this country because we let them profit by denying care. I plan to change the rules. First, under Universal Care Plus, medically necessary care will be publicly guaranteed — no private company gets to deny it. If a doctor says you need it, it’s covered. No prior authorization games. No denial incentives. Second, Medicare Advantage would be eliminated.

The Universal Care Plus Act is a single taxpayer system that has no aggressive and misleading marketing to seniors; no risk-score manipulation and claw back improper overpayments; and no wrongful denials. Third, my plan cuts out the middleman waste. That means we’re saving billions on paperwork, denial departments, and profit margins. That money will go back into care instead of corporate pockets.”
