I believe the only solution is Medicare FOR ALL or some form of insurance plan that the state could finance through taxpayer support. When elected, I will draft or support any bill that will make this goal a reality. Frances Perkins, Former Secretary of Labor, envisioned universal health insurance as a core part of the federal social safety net, but it remained the one major goal she was unable to achieve during her tenure. Now, nearly 100 years later, it is time to work toward this important service for American working-class families.
