I believe that lowering the tax burden keeps more money in people’s pockets and therefore provides them with a greater ability to afford everything, healthcare included.
Also, some prescription drugs and healthcare services are ridiculously expensive, so having a price cap in place is something that I would support.
Fraudulent use of healthcare funding also must be addressed so that those who truly need these benefits are actually receiving them.
I would also like to say that this is more than just a political talking point to me, as a mom who has a child with a permanent disability who also requires daily prescription medication.
I understand personally the importance of Medicaid coverage and I am grateful for lawmakers’ efforts to secure provision of health insurance for those who need it, especially for children, seniors, and those with disabilities.
