I’m writing with the exciting news that [Organization] has joined Families USA’s Stop the Bleed Campaign, a growing movement to hold candidates accountable for lowering health care costs. And we need you to join us! 

For too long, corporate health care companies have been allowed to drive up prices while putting profits ahead of patients, with little accountability from policymakers. As a result, millions of people are being forced into impossible tradeoffs between basic necessities and the care that they need. Families are being bled dry, and Congress has failed to act at the scale this crisis demands.

That’s why [Organization] has joined Stop the Bleed to ask candidates how they plan to lower health care costs. As part of this campaign, we are asking candidates a simple but essential question:

What will you do to hold health care corporations accountable for high costs?

We’re reaching out to invite your organization to join this campaign. By standing together, we can amplify this message, demand real commitments from leaders, and help build the momentum needed to finally stop the bleed.

Stop the Bleed is collecting candidates’ responses to this question to ensure voters, advocates, and the broader public know where leaders stand. Responses will be verified and shared publicly this spring as part of a coordinated accountability effort.
