“As a state representative, I will work to lower healthcare costs by holding large hospital systems, insurance companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and other healthcare corporations accountable through greater transparency, stronger consumer protections, and oversight of healthcare pricing.
I support requiring hospitals and insurers to disclose their prices, strengthening oversight of hospital mergers and consolidation, and cracking down on unfair billing practices that leave patients with unexpected medical expenses. I will also support efforts to lower prescription drug costs, increase transparency among pharmacy benefit managers, and ensure that savings are passed directly to patients rather than retained as corporate profits.
As an educator, I understand that access to affordable healthcare is essential for working families. I will advocate for investments in preventive care, emergency medical services, and lifesaving initiatives such as Stop the Bleed, while working to ensure that healthcare corporations are accountable to the patients and communities they serve.
Healthcare should be affordable and accessible, and Pennsylvania families deserve to know that their elected officials are putting patients ahead of corporate interests.”
