Right now, healthcare costs are reaching levels never seen before as families are stuck paying more while having less. On top of that, healthcare corporations and insurance companies are making record profits. In Harrisburg, I will fight to create a Prescription Drug Affordability Board, crack down on excessive hospital fees, and make sure insurers are held accountable for rising costs. I will also fight to stop insurance companies from using prior authorization to unfairly deny or delay medically necessary care. I will support stronger oversight of hospital mergers and fight for single-payer healthcare that would deliver lower costs and greater transparency. Working families, not healthcare corporations, should come first.
