To bring down costs and crack down on corporate greed, I support greater transparency from hospitals, insurance companies, and pharmacy benefit managers so patients know what they will pay before receiving care. I also support giving Medicare greater power to negotiate prescription drug prices, increasing competition in healthcare markets, and holding corporations accountable when anti-competitive practices drive up costs.
At the same time, we must protect rural hospitals and community health centers that Kansans rely on every day. Healthcare decisions should be guided by what’s best for patients, not what’s most profitable for large corporations.”
