Good health care, decent affordable housing, quality education, and good-paying jobs—those are the four foundations for thriving families. But right now, too many families are being squeezed, especially when it comes to health care.
Billionaire health care corporations are putting profits over patients, even buying up independently owned clinics across the nation to pad their own pockets and leave patients out in the cold. Big Pharma continues to jack up drug prices to pad its bottom line while taxpayers fund its research and development. In the richest country in the world, no person should have to worry about whether they’ll be able to afford to see a doctor or get prescription drugs if they become sick or get into an accident.
That’s why I’m fighting to crack down on corporate greed in health care, lower prescription drug prices, and put patients and providers back in the driver’s seat. When we take on these corporate abuses and invest in the foundations families need, we can build healthier, stronger communities.
